Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
I've recently fallen into the trend of dip-dyed hair and decided to experiment with pastel pink.  I did my bleaching and coloring in a salon, but the color washed off quite quickly. As a student I don't have the cash to keep dishing out at the salon so I want to find some pastel pink demi (yes, demi)-permanent DIY hair color at a reasonable price.
– Pretty in pink

The elusive demi-dye, not quite semi and not quite permanent, this one was tricky to source in Hong Kong! Never fear, you can transiently dye your hair with products found at ThreeSixty (3/F, The Landmark, 15 Queen’s Rd. Central, 2111-4840). Call ahead to see if they have a pastel-pink dye in stock; otherwise, both ThreeSixty and CitySuper’s various outlets citywide may be happy to order in your favorite brands of demi-permanent hair dye from around the world. If that particular pastel is unavailable in DIY, consider asking your salon for the dye they used or to put you in touch with the suppliers. You’d be surprised how far you can get with just a small push.
